If you’re a fan of Greek cuisine then Alpha is a must on your dining list. The menu, created by chef Peter Conistis, comprises both traditional and contemporary Greek cooking.
Located in an historic Victorian building one block back from Hyde Park, Alpha’s dining room takes inspiration from the Greek Islands with whitewashed walls, earthy tones, feature lamps resembling fishing nets and a sandstone wall engraved with letters of the Greek alphabet. They also have a private dining room!
Our favourite item on the menus is the feta crusted lamb backstrap. Or if you have more than four guests you can go for YaYa’s set menu, which gives you a taste of all of their speciality dishes. They also do takeaway, so perfect if you prefer a night in and don’t feel like cooking.
So, next time you’re in the area, give them a try and make sure you let them know that we sent you in!
