What's On - Vivid Sydney

Vivid is the world’s biggest light festival and features light shows, music and guest speakers from all over the world. One of Sydney’s most interactive, stunning events that just keeps getting bigger every year.

This year, Vivid is celebrating 10 years and they have pulled out all the stops for this momentous occasion. Taking place from the 25th of May to the 16th of June, there are enough activities to keep you busy the whole time.

With events and activities spanning all over the city, there’s everything from creative talks from masterminds and game changers, to amazing light progections of the iconic Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

Circular Quay and the Rocks are the classic place to start, with the harbour bridge and Opera House lighting up for the occasion. The Royal Botanic Garden is our light show pick, make sure to check out the Nautilus Forest, an installation that draws from nature and geometry to create a lit up forest of spiraling trees.

Each tree is 4.5 metres tall, with the trees lighting up for a forest walk you won’t forget!

If you’re looking for inspiration, Vivid hosts a number of creatively minded people from an array of different fields. Game changers Jane McGonigal and Kriti Sharma will be featured, discussing gaming, artificial intelligence, VR and the future of the digital world. Check them out at the City Recital Hall on the 3rd of June.

Make the most of Vivid 2018 and have a great time!
